Shipping Policy

Last updated: September 25, 2026

This Shipping Policy describes the manufacturing, shipping, delivery, tracking, and delivery-related procedures applicable to orders placed through North Global Oy (Northbull Imports).

1. Delivery Terms (Incoterms 2020)

All international deliveries are carried out in accordance with Incoterms 2020, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

By default, deliveries are made under DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms, meaning that the applicable transportation, customs duties, import-related charges, and taxes included in the agreed delivery arrangement are handled on behalf of the customer until delivery to the agreed address.

Other delivery terms may apply if separately agreed with the customer:

  • EXW (Ex Works) – The customer collects the goods directly from the factory and assumes responsibility for transportation from the agreed collection point.
  • FCA (Free Carrier) – The manufacturer hands over the goods to the agreed carrier at the specified location.
  • CPT (Carriage Paid To) – Transportation is paid to the agreed destination, while risk transfers according to the applicable Incoterms 2020 rules.
  • CIP (Carriage and Insurance Paid To) – Transportation and agreed insurance are arranged to the specified destination, with risk transferring according to the applicable Incoterms 2020 rules.
  • DAP (Delivered at Place) – The goods are delivered to the agreed destination, while import duties and taxes are generally the customer's responsibility unless otherwise agreed.
  • DPU (Delivered at Place Unloaded) – The goods are delivered and unloaded at the agreed destination, subject to the applicable Incoterms 2020 terms.
  • DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) – The goods are delivered to the agreed destination with the applicable transportation, customs duties, and taxes handled as part of the agreed delivery arrangement.

The Incoterm applicable to the customer's order is determined by the delivery arrangement confirmed for that order.

2. Shipping Origin

Products are primarily manufactured to order by our manufacturing partners in China and are shipped from China to the customer's delivery destination.

North Global Oy coordinates the international transportation, freight forwarding, customs-related arrangements, and final delivery process.

3. Delivery Areas

We ship products throughout Finland with no general regional shipping restrictions.

Shipments to the Åland Islands are handled separately as a manual quote. The applicable shipping terms and price are confirmed with the customer before the order is placed.

If delivery to another country or destination is separately agreed, the applicable shipping terms, costs, and arrangements are confirmed with the customer before the order is finalized.

4. Manufacturing and Delivery Times

Products are generally manufactured to order.

The standard manufacturing and order handling time is 10–25 business days, followed by an estimated transit time of 60–75 business days.

The normal estimated total time from order processing through delivery is therefore approximately 70–100 business days.

The estimated manufacturing period begins when the manufacturer has confirmed receipt of the funds required to begin production and North Global Oy has received the information necessary to process the order.

These timeframes are estimates and may be affected by circumstances outside the reasonable control of North Global Oy, including international sea freight disruptions, port congestion, customs procedures, weather conditions, strikes, regulatory actions, or other force majeure-type events.

If a significant delay occurs, North Global Oy will keep the customer informed and provide an updated delivery estimate when reasonably possible.

Customers also receive status updates by email as their order progresses through manufacturing and transportation.

5. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated based on the ordered product, selected accessories, and the customer's delivery address.

The customer can use the shipping calculator before checkout to calculate the applicable shipping and logistics costs.

The order price is presented as an itemized calculation showing the machine, selected accessories, freight cost, and North Global Oy's service fee separately.

For the purposes of the total delivery and logistics cost, the freight cost and North Global Oy's commission are treated as components of the shipping-related cost. These costs are calculated before the customer completes the purchase and are included in the total amount presented before payment.

6. Changes in Freight Costs

Freight costs are based on the transportation rates and market conditions applicable when the order is placed.

International freight rates may change due to circumstances such as shipping market conditions, fuel prices, port charges, route changes, tariffs, customs-related charges, or other external factors. Relevant freight indices, such as the Shanghai Containerized Freight Index (SCFI) or other applicable market indicators, may be used when assessing significant changes in freight costs.

If freight costs increase significantly after the order has been placed due to circumstances outside North Global Oy's reasonable control, an adjustment of approximately 10–15% may be applied where permitted by the applicable order terms and law.

If freight costs decrease significantly, the customer may receive a corresponding adjustment or refund of up to approximately 10%, where applicable.

Any material adjustment affecting the customer's order will be communicated to the customer before the additional amount is charged or the adjustment is otherwise applied.

Changes in tariffs, import duties, or other government-imposed charges occurring after the order may also be taken into account where permitted by the applicable delivery terms and law.

For further details on the calculation, scope and application of freight cost adjustments, please see our Freight Indexation Clause.

7. Carriers and Freight Forwarders

North Global Oy uses established transportation and freight forwarding partners for shipments.

The carrier and, where applicable, the freight forwarder are selected on a shipment-by-shipment basis depending on the route, schedule, product, transportation requirements, and availability.

The final shipping details are provided to the customer once the shipment has been arranged.

8. Order and Shipment Tracking

Customers receive status updates by email at various stages of the order process.

These updates may include information about the start and estimated completion of manufacturing, product inspection, transfer to the port or warehouse, loading, international transportation, arrival in Europe or Finland, final transportation, and delivery.

When the product is in transit by sea, the customer will receive a tracking link or other available tracking information.

The customer will also be notified when the machine has arrived in Finland and when it is being transported to the delivery address provided by the customer.

9. Delivery Address and Site Requirements

The customer is responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery information, including the delivery address and required contact details.

Because many products consist of heavy machinery, the customer is responsible for ensuring that the delivery location is reasonably accessible and suitable for the vehicle and equipment required to complete the delivery.

The customer should inform North Global Oy in advance of any known access restrictions, weight restrictions, narrow roads, low bridges, restricted unloading areas, or other circumstances that could materially affect delivery.

Additional costs resulting from incorrect delivery information, inaccessible delivery locations, or circumstances not disclosed in advance may be charged where permitted by the applicable order terms and law.

10. Delivery Delays and Force Majeure

Manufacturing and delivery schedules are estimates and may be affected by events outside the reasonable control of North Global Oy.

Such events may include, among others, severe weather, natural disasters, strikes, port congestion, shipping disruptions, customs delays, governmental or regulatory actions, international conflicts, transportation restrictions, or other force majeure-type circumstances.

If such an event causes a significant delay, North Global Oy will inform the customer and provide updated information regarding the expected delivery schedule when reasonably possible.

11. Failed Delivery

If delivery cannot be completed because the customer is unavailable, the delivery address or contact information is incorrect, the delivery location cannot reasonably be accessed, or another customer-related circumstance prevents delivery, additional transportation, storage, handling, or redelivery costs may arise.

North Global Oy will contact the customer to arrange an appropriate solution where reasonably possible.

12. Shipping Damage

The customer should inspect the delivery, where reasonably possible, when receiving it.

If visible shipping damage is found on the packaging or product, the customer should, where possible, note the damage on the transport documents and document the damage with photographs.

Shipping damage must be reported to North Global Oy without undue delay at myynti@imports.men. Where possible, the notification should include the order number, a description of the damage, and photographs of both the packaging and the damaged product.

North Global Oy will investigate the damage together with the customer and, where necessary, with the carrier, manufacturer, or insurance provider.

Further information regarding shipping damage and claims is provided in our Returns & Refunds Policy.

13. Incorrect or Incomplete Deliveries

If a delivered machine, model, configuration, or accessories do not correspond to the confirmed order, or if a product, part, or accessory included in the confirmed order is missing from the delivery, the customer should contact North Global Oy without undue delay at myynti@imports.men.

Detailed procedures for incorrect or incomplete deliveries, claims, returns, and refunds are described in our Returns & Refunds Policy.

14. Permanent Inability to Deliver

If delivery of an ordered and paid product becomes permanently impossible, North Global Oy will cancel the order for the affected product and notify the customer without undue delay.

The customer will receive a full refund of all amounts paid for the cancelled order, without additional charges.

Further information regarding refunds is provided in our Returns & Refunds Policy.
